As global citizens, students develop an understanding of and respect for diversity and difference through their communication and appreciation for the German language and culture.  They have the opportunity to make real and relevant connections whilst expanding their appreciation for the wider world through engaging with German- Australian connections in real life situations.  Students develop an understanding of and respect for diversity and difference. Through the study of German students extend their understanding of themselves, their heritage, culture and identity. 

German is a one-semester course at Year 7 and 8. In this subject students learn to communicate in German, both orally and in writing. They also extend their knowledge of grammar and their cultural knowledge of the German-speaking countries.
