Musical

Loxton High School holds a proud tradition of producing full-scale musicals ranging from the classics to the crowd pleasers, such as GreaseAnnie, The Sound of Music and Oliver to name a few.

Any student, from Year 7 through to Year 12, who is interested in the Arts, whether it be as a performer or in a technical capacity, can be involved. The commitment is extensive, rehearsing both Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons for an extended period of sixteen weeks, culminating in a week of performances for the Riverland Community in Term 3.

In addition to students developing their understanding, knowledge and skills in the Performing Arts, the musical provides students with a wonderful opportunity to build self-confidence and foster healthy working relationships with their peers, staff and community members. Ultimately, students who experience the musical journey feel a sense of belonging to the school and often create life-long memories that they will treasure forever.
